Changes to DBS Application Pricing

Important Update: Changes to DBS Application Pricing Effective November 2024

Dear Applicants,

We’re writing to inform you about an upcoming change to the pricing of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications. As a DBS eBulk Registered Body, we’re required to pass on this information to ensure you’re aware of the changes.

What’s Changing?

From 18 November, the cost of processing DBS applications will increase. This adjustment is due to changes implemented by the DBS, which affect all registered bodies.

Why Are the Prices Changing?

The DBS has decided to increase prices to cover rising operational costs and to fund ongoing service improvements. This will help ensure the DBS continues to provide a fast, secure, and efficient service.

What You Need to Know:

Current Prices:

  • Enhanced DBS check with Barred List(s) - £39.50

New Prices (Effective 18 November 2024):

  • Enhanced DBS check with Barred List(s) - £51.00

  • DBS Update Service Subscription - £16/year (annually)

What Should You Do Next?

If you’re ready to submit your DBS application, we recommend doing so before 18 November 2024 to benefit from the current pricing.

We understand that price increases can be frustrating, and we’re committed to providing the necessary support. Please note the importance of registering your disclosure on the Update Service. This could save you significant costs in the future by eliminating the need for additional DBS checks, unless the content of your original disclosure changes.

Thank you for your understanding. We’ll keep you updated on any further developments.
